This fall, it’s emo fans’ turn to rejoice because one of the most highly anticipated outings is making its way to Denver! The highly regarded alternative rock outfit Dashboard Confessional is slated to bring their outstanding catalog centerstage as they conquer the Fillmore Auditorium. Expect career-spanning hits - ranging from their cult favorite debut effort, The Swiss Army Romance, all the way to their latest release, All the Truth That I Can Tell. Their catalog is exactly twenty-two years' worth of groundbreaking music - a sound that helps defined emo in the early 2000s.

Now, you have the opportunity to experience two decades worth of excellent rock music, the majority of which was penned by lead singer Chris Carrabba. Dashboard Confessional is largely known for their dynamic performances, emotive vocals, and incredible stage presence. With his heart on his sleeve, Carrabba will belt out some of the most honest and compelling lyrics while the band delivers equally stunning instrumentations. What you get is a highly entertaining band that has proven their remarkable longevity.

Since emerging as a solo act in 1999, Dashboard Confessional, led by the illustrious singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba, has paved the way for more bands to follow suit. Originally a solo artist, Carrabba took his guitar and started recording music. The resulting work was the iconic The Swiss Army Romance, which spawned the emo staple “Screaming Infidelities.” After his breakout as an independent artist, Carrabba signed with Vagrant Records, and Dashboard Confessional became a full-fledged band. In 2001, the band dropped its sophomore effort, The Place You Have Come to Fear the Most. Throughout the band’s career, they continued to be a fixture on the rock scene, and studio efforts became a mainstay on the charts. The band’s 2003 and 2006 efforts even reached number 2 on the Mainstream chart and topped the Independent and Mainstream Rock categories.

Special guest Boys Like Girls will also be showcasing their impressive plethora of hits. The band recently came out with their latest album, Sunday at Foxwoods, spawning the sensational singles,
Blood and Sugar,” “Language,” “The Outside,” and “Cry,” to name a few. Meanwhile, Taylor Acorn may be new to the punk rock scene, but she first made waves as a country artist with her hit single, “Put It In a Song.” However, during the pandemic, Acorn had a change of heart and went back to her first love, which was pop punk. She released unprecedented singles, “Do That Again,” “Shapeshifting,” and “In My Head.” Last year, she dropped her debut pop-punk EP, Certified Depressant.

Give yourself a treat this fall and enjoy fantastic emo rock and pop punk staples when you catch Dashboard Confessional, Boys Like Girls, and Taylor Acorn at the Fillmore Auditorium on Wednesday, 16th October 2024!
