Canadian metal band Spiritbox are absolutely crushing the game right now. Their debut album, Eternal Blue was released in 2021 to critical acclaim, and they truly haven’t stopped since. Although the band faced numerous obstacles throughout their early years, Spiritbox is taking over the world of modern alternative metal. With a sophomore album on the way and a recent nomination for a Grammy Award, they’re hitting the road next year on their biggest tour yet. Catch them at the Fillmore Auditorium this May. Tickets are on sale right now, so act fast!
Spiritbox is the creative brainchild of married couple Courtney LaPlante and Mike Stringer, who had just recently left the band Iwrestledabearonce in 2015. They wanted a project they could make their own; something the two of them orchestrated together. And so, Spiritbox was born. It took many fundraisers, donations, and good old fashioned patience (especially during the pandemic) but now, in 2024 Spiritbox is finally getting the attention they deserve. Get your chance to support one of the biggest rising bands in the scene right now by purchasing a ticket to their show in Denver. They’re on sale right now, so get clickin’
Every band has their own unique story on how they rose to fame. But for some like Spiritbox, it was less of a rising and more a series of jumps. They began recording and releasing music as a duo in 2016, but couldn’t further develop the project by performing due to lack of band members to play their songs. Later, they began primarily promoting their music online, garnering a decent following and some media attention, but performing was further delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fast forwarding to 2025, nothing is stopping them now. Spiritbox is releasing their highly anticipated second album Tsunami Sea and touring around the world performing it. They’ll be headed to the Fillmore in Denver on May 2nd 2025, but you can grab your tickets today. Be there.
Spiritbox may have had a rather unconventional rise to fame, but now that they’ve reached such an impressive level of success, they’re going to continue their climb to the top. 2024 saw the band perform alongside nu-metal icons Korn, record for their upcoming second album, and earn their second Grammy nomination. But what’s next for Spiritbox? As of right now, their second studio album is set for a March 7th 2025 release date, and their first headlining tour begins its European leg the month before. Wanna get in on their rise to the top? Grab some tickets for their Denver show!! Trust me, this is not one you want to miss.
It’s hard to have a full conversation about modern metal music without someone bringing up Spiritbox. Alongside big names like Bad Omens, Knocked Loose, and Sleep Token, they’re dominating popular alternative culture with their innovative sound and incredible artistry. Spiritbox has often been said to be “genreless,” some even going as far to say that assigning any one particular label to them would be derivative and pointless. They’ve been described as metalcore, alternative metal, progressive metal, deathcore, and nu-metal. But once you hear them, you can’t unhear them. They’re one of the biggest new acts in rock music right now, and they’re headed straight to you, Denver. Don’t miss your chance to see them before they completely blow up. Tickets are on sale now, so get going.
