Formed in 2014, Chase Atlantic marked their place in the indie scene upon the release of their first EPs, “Dalliance” and “Nostalgia”. Attracting a slew of fans for their unique R&B sound, their track “Friends” became viral and were used in several Tumblr edits. This was later certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in 2022. Straight out of their bedroom and onto the big stage, Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony have come a long way. With a passion for producing hard-hitting beats, they’ve got us all hooked.
Some of you might wonder where the name came from and what it meant to the band — well, it actually means nothing! “It's so hard to find band names, we just put two words we really liked together that can't be associated with anything else,” Mitchel Cave shared with Idobi.
Now, this very name means the world to their fans who can’t help but bang their heads to the beat. Releasing their self-titled debut album in 2017, Chase Atlantic found themselves gaining a bigger following, and an overwhelmingly positive response to their music. Ready for the world, they embarked on global tours and festival performances that took their music center stage. Their best hits include “Consume”, “Swim”, “Into It”, “Meddle About”, “HEAVEN AND BACK”, and many more.
Their most recent release was 2021’s “BEAUTY IN DEATH”, an album that marked a sonic reset in the band’s discography. “Our sound is constantly evolving, and it maybe does seem like huge leaps and bounds to the outside world,” Cave told Alternative Press. “We write and produce everything ourselves, so we’ve always been exploring and creating new styles of music. Whatever feels right in the stomach, really.”
