Reuniting for the first time in 14 years, the two bands kicked off the epic comeback tour with an intimate show in London. Now, they co-headlining performances are soaring across the country, with extended dates just announced. This includes a special stop at Fillmore Auditorium on Wednesday, October 2nd this fall. Legendary names in the alt-rock scene, two American rock bands are reuniting for the first time in fourteen years - Jane's Addiction & Love and Rockets. Taking the world by surprise when they shared the stage for an intimate show in London, the band has since then expanded their co-headlining gig into an all-out tour across North America. An ensemble featuring Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery, the bunch will be joined by "So Alive" hitmakers Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins, and David J. Together, they're set to rock the stage like never before. Fans of both bands are in for a rockin-tastic night of iconic bangers from their heydays.
Prior to the epic reunion, Avery reunited with Jane's Addiction back in 2022, over a decade since his departure in 2010. Since then, they've teased new music in the works. In 2023, the released "True Love", marking the end of a decade-long wait from hopeful fans, longing to see the day that Jane's Addiction releases new music.
In a feature by Rolling Stone, Avery shared "Perry and I then got on the phone, and I was able to say some things to him which were a lot of years in coming," Now, that sounds like a moment of closure. "We wound up in a really, really great place at the end of a 40-minute phone call, and we sort of buried the hatchet. It was just two adult guys coming to a resolution about stuff."
In more recent news, they dropped another new single "Imminent Redemption" last May, marking their first song together as a complete group in 34 years. The band debuted the track in their intimate London show. "It is different this time,” Jane said. "To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is only the beginning."
