Tito Double P at Fillmore Auditorium

Are you ready for "El Lokeron?" There's no question that this was THE song that put Tito Double P on the map. It's crazy to think that by the time these shows in Denver roll around "El Lokeron", "Dos Dias" and "Escapate" all of Tito Double P's main tracks will only be about a year and a half old at the most! This man's rise has been truly meteoric. In other eras, it would've been impossible to have an artist with such a sample size going big time, playing massive venues across the US. Let alone one from Mexico! We really gotta thank modernity for this one because, a lot of times, north of the border, you didn't get a chance to catch a lot of these guys in Mexican regional music, particularly those who were the one-hit wonder type.

That's not to say that Tito Double P is a one-hit wonder by any stretch of the imagination. It's the opposite, pretty much every single song from his breakout album is a massive hit in its own right. Now, "Rosones" and "La Cuadrada" are making strides as well. It does seem like Tito Double P is here to stay. That's especially the case if he's able to connect with audiences on this US tour.

The Fillmore Auditorium is an ideal venue for these types of performers. As mentioned, it hasn't gotten too many corridos tumbados singers to headline. That's a shame because getting a chance to sing and dance to this music on that hardwood that was formerly a rollerblading venue is going to be quite a vibe. You can't afford to skip this show if you're a fan of Mexican regional music. Not to sound like a broken record, but these guys just don't come around this area that often.
