The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver Colorado is so excited to welcome Ziggy Marley and Burning Spear to the stage on Saturday, October 11th for a special, once in a lifetime show at the theater as the group closes out their 2025 Do The Reggae Tour.
Ziggy Marley is no stranger to stardom, and his career as a reggae singer and songwriter spans four decades. Taking on the family business and learning the roots from his dad when he was young alongside his brother Stephen Marley, Ziggy started his career leading the family band, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, when he was only eleven years old. The Melody Makers went on to gain massive critical acclaim around the world, releasing eight albums during their three decade reign. Ziggy also played in the place of his father’s band after his death in 1981, and toured around the world multiple times before he reached the age of 20. The Melody Makers also received a Grammy in 1988 for Best Reggae Album with their Conscious Party record. The band had many accolades and features across media, most notably doing the theme song for the popular children’s show Arthur, and winning three more Grammys before the group broke up in 2002.
As Ziggy approaches his 60s (he actually has a birthday the week after he finishes his show at Fillmore), Marley still feels more inspired than ever to make music that comes from the heart and the soul. Speaking on the tour, he said “It is an honor and a privilege for me personally to announce this upcoming tour. Burning Spear is one of our great fathers and I cannot say how much I am looking forward to sharing time with him,” Ziggy wrote on Instagram. “This is a blessing a once in a lifetime experience for me. Join us if you will.” And we’re so ready to welcome you, Mr.Marley!
This tour will be one for the books - and you’re going to want to be there for it. Go ahead and grab your tickets - and invite all your reggae ragers, too! We’ll see you soon.
